[a] Traditional Champagne varieties – predominantly Chard, but PN, Pinot Blanc and Meunier are also planted

Medium alcohol and medium-medium+ acid.

Very good to outstanding and premium to super premium priced

[a] MLF – yes, because acidity is higher here than Franciacorta

Yeasts – cultured, some locally

Reserve – Some, not a huge factor though

[a] Four companies make up 95% of production of sparkling wine

[a] Guyot or Pergola

[a] Ferrari. It owns 100 hectares, and buys fruit from 500 hectares (the region totals 800 hectares)

[a] Trentodoc – 15 months (20-30 months common)

Vintage – 24 months

Riserva – 36 months (5-10 years common)

[q] What are recent opportunities that Trentodoc has appealed to for new markets?

[a] Export, for example by sponsoring the Institute of Masters of Wine

[q] Where is Trentodoc sold?

[a] 80% domestically

[q] Who are the two important co-ops?
