A ‘Naturwein’ is a German wine to which no sugar had been added for the purpose of enrichment of its alcohol strength.

The term was abolished by the 1971 German Wine Law, which established as QmP (or Qualitätswein mit Pradikat) all wine which would have qualified as ‘Naturwein’.
