Vine trellises

Trellises are permanent structures made of posts and wires that help to support and position the vine’s shoots. They offer many advantages to the vines such as stabilizing the vine (especially in case of strong wind or instable grounds), offering better sun exposure, improving aeration inside the canopy, promoting healthy growth (and allowing for an easier maintenance of the vine) but most importantly they allow for mechanization of the harvest.

Once the trellises are put in place, the tendrils of the vine will spontaneously cling to the trellis wires and support the canopy as it grows. The grape grower can tie in branches and shoots to the trellis if need be.
