a) Presentation
The Agri Confiance label is a label reserved for cooperatives. It is accessible to agricultural cooperatives as well as to cooperative cellars (even if very few use it in France). This label is granted following a certification process conducted by an independent body.
b) Main guidelines
A Bordeaux wine cooperative wishing to obtain this certification must respect the following 4 pillars of commitment:
– Guarantee quality (French origin, traceability, food safety control and transparency)
– Support for farmers and territories (solidarity, fair relationship, local employment and societal commitment)
– Preserve of the environment (limitation of inputs, biodiversity, soil preservation and preservation of water resources)
– Promote an approach to animal welfare

c) An example of a certified winery in Bordeaux
The Cave de Rauzan (Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, Entre Deux Mers, Crémants de Bordeaux) located in Bordeaux is a good example of the application of this label to an winemaking cooperative. It brings together 340 winegrowers. It is also certified ‘Committed to CSR’.
