Tasting Note: Barolo, Fontanafredda, La Rosa, 2016
Comments = Powerful but elegant, this beautifully made Nebbiolo has still a lot of aging potential. It is a typical example of what a very good Barolo should be

Comments = This wine offer a good level of quality overall with a good balance acidity-fruits-autolytic characters which is quite rare at this price range

Comments = One of the very best Chilean Carmenere I have tasted so far. Beautiful elegance and finesse of the fruits with silky tannins and texture coupled with a wonderful vanilla powder finish.

Comments = I loved the balance of this wine, the sweetness is not overwhelming and allows us to enjoy all the complexity and range of aromas of this wine. The hard work behing this true craftman-wine is showing all the potential of this unique terroir.

Comments = I just loved this wine. I cannot recommend it enough especially at that price range. Tje aromatic is sharp and precise. The balance between acidity, aromas and tannins is perfect. It is elegant but still shows some power and length. For me, it is clearly an underrated Amarone. Finally, this Amarone is dry (which is how an Amarone is supposed to be, contrary what I find on the market most of the time) so it is suitable for diabetic people (not like all Amarone unfortunately).

Comments = Elegant and racy wine that will impress you with its perfect balance between acidity-tannins and aromas. It was just a pleasure to taste it. I cannot recommend this wine enough.

Comments = Finesse and elegance for this rather fruity wine that offers a velvety tannic structure together with a medium acidity and a quite light body but a solid palate and finish
Final Grade = B+
Comments = Intense and complex aromatic coupled with a refreshing acidity and mineral notes. There is no doubt that this wine is among the great white wines from Fruili. It is very elegant with a nuanced palate and long finish. Kept under good conditions, this wine has a great aging potential that need to be exploited.
Final Grade = A
Comments = Elegant and expressive, it has very fruity profile with a perfect balance. Very easy to drink and enjoyable.
Final Grade = B+
Comments = If you have the chance (it is a very tiny production) to get your hand on this beautiful and underrated wine, I cannot advice you to buy it. It is the kind of wine that I really like, a prime example of what Sardinian artisan craftsmanship can bring to the world of wine. It has a long and very complex finish.
